Whether or not you love “The Doors” the band, you’re going to be a fan of the well built doors on the buildings that we have at Hometown Sheds. You’ll have lots of options, but the biggest decision that you’ll make is whether or not to get a door that rolls – or swings. Where you’ll place your shed and what you will store inside will be the determining factor on which door you’ll choose.

Swinging to the Music. For a basic, more traditional entry, most people decide on a cost effective swinging door. Our metal buildings are constructed with a double lock, and the wooden ones have metal framed doors. While the standard width is 48″, we also have a smaller 36″ option. Our attractive double doors give you an even larger access area. Wooden and metal buildings have different door options available. Ask us, and we’ll be happy to help you get the door that suits your building style and your needs.

Rolling with the Band. A roll up door is great for buildings situated without a lot of swing area. Because they come 5 feet to 8 feet wide, they’re also the perfect way to load up your shed with larger items. Buildings with roll up doors can even be used as a garage for your vehicle. The doors roll compactly into the ceiling of the building. When closed, these 26 gauge metal doors combined with a locking mechanism to keep your equipment secure.

The Doors Encore. Some of our units are also available with both a swinging door for fast access, and a roll up door for easy loading and unloading. The barn building pictured has both types of doors as well as a ramp.

If you’re in the market for a new shed, crank up the music and come on over to Hometown. We may not be able to sing as well as Jim Morrison, but our buildings – the doors included – are classic hits that will be around for years and years to come.
