Backyard Retreat: How a Custom Building Was Transformed into An Ultimate Recreation Area

When a local Virginia customer reached out to Hometown Sheds Danville manager, Steve, with an idea for a recreation area, he was able to bring it to life.

Brainstorming a Design.

Local homeowner Tony reached out to Steve after seeing a social media ad for Hometown Sheds and reviewing his options online. When he had an idea for pool/game room building, he brought in his sketches to see if what he wanted was possible. Not only was it possible, but a plan was created and put into play.

Why Hometown Sheds?

Mclawhorne admitted that he did “shop around” multiple companies before ultimately deciding on Hometown Sheds. So, what was the difference? He states that other companies would give him a brochure or tell him they could create something at a much higher cost but the personalized attention and planning made the final decision. Steve actually took the time to sit down, brainstorm, listen, design the building on his computer and ultimately put together a custom package. From Design to Delivery.

Upon deciding on the final product, a 35×20 building with 35×10 lean to porch, exterior color option (chosen to match the exterior of his house) and trim, the construction process began. Around six weeks later the building was delivered, installed in only a few days and ready for its final use. It is currently being enjoyed as a multipurpose area which is split between a music room with a sitting area, weight room and game room. Mclawhorne says that he does have future plans to possibly add on and was very happy with his experience at Hometown Sheds. “Everything went great!”
